Sport and nature, a winning combination!

That’s the essence, since it was founded 5 years ago, of Enjoy Stelvio National Park. Promoted since the beginning by ERSAF – Stelvio National Park, the initiative has seen some of the most famous and scenic roads in and around the protected area closed to motorised traffic on certain dates. Free rein for sports enthusiasts to safely enjoy these exhilarating climbs and the splendid scenery that surrounds them.

Everyone is welcome, it’s not a competition. While the roads are closed, anybody can take on these arduous but rewarding climbs.

The number of participants continues to grow year on year, coming from all over Italy and many European countries. And the number of routes on offer is also increasing, from this year Enjoy will expand its horizons even further.

The initiative has been renamed ‘Enjoy Stelvio Valtellina’. To the ‘traditional’ routes in and around the Stelvio National Park (the Stelvio, Gavia and Mortirolo passes, Cancano and Bormio 2000), more routes around the Province of Sondrio have been added. Enthusiasts can now take on the Spluga Pass in Valchiavenna, the San Marco Pass (from both the Valle del Bitto – Albaredo and the Bergamo side) and Campo Moro in Valmalenco.

Enjoy Stelvio Valtellina is part of the Cycle Tourism Project by the Province of Sondrio, a series of initiatives to promote the province through cycling events – both competitive and non.

It’s going to be a packed summer of cycling in Valtellina
